Report: Willson Contreras Price Too High for Mets
Whether it’s a legit report or just posturing from the Mets, SNY’s Andy Martino tweeted that the price to acquire Willson Contreras is seen as too high and that talks between the Cubs and Mets “never really ignited.” This is really the same thing we’ve been hearing all along, though the deadline is less than 90 minutes away as of post time and Contreras is in the Cubs’ lineup.
