Chicago Cubs Lineup (3/20/22): Ortega Leads Off, Frazier Cleans Up, Mills Starting

Alec Mills will take the mound for the first time this spring as the Cubs look to extend their spring winning streak to three games. The soft-tossing righty with the incredibly slow curve is in the rotation mix yet again as he continues a consistent approach that has seen him defy the odds time and again. My favorite part about watching Mills pitch is his abnormally closed landing, which looks really strange if you happen to be paying attention to it.

The offense will be led by Rafael Ortega, who is leading off in center. Nico Hoerner gets the start at short, Frank Schwindel is at first, and Clint Frazier is the DH. Yan Gomes is behind the plate yet again, Nelson Velázquez is in left, Ildemaro Vargas is at second, and Dixon Machado is at third. Greg Deichmann bats ninth in right.

They’ll be going up against Robbie Erlin and the Dodgers at Camelback Ranch in a game that starts at 3:05pm CT. You can catch the action on 670 The Score and on MLB Network.
