Chicago Cubs Lineup (6/13/21): Pederson Leads Off, Bryant in RF, Davies Going for Sweep

Update: Javy Báez has been scratched after his thumb soreness returned. Sergio Alcántara will play short and bat eighth with the other spots moving up one ahead of him.

Apologies in advance for the brevity, but youth baseball is taking up quite a bit of my time today.

Joc Pederson leads off in left, Kris Bryant is in right, Javy Báez is at short, and Anthony Rizzo is at first. Willson Contreras is behind the plate, Ian Happ is in center, Patrick Wisdom brings the hot to the hot corner, and Eric Sogard is at second.

Zach Davies has put up great numbers since May and is coming off of his best start as a Cub. Can he repeat that performance in front of the home crowd to secure the sweep.

Carlos Martinez is a shell of the former fireballing top prospect who was supposed to terrorize the Cubs for years, but he went six strong when these teams last met. He only struck out two and hasn’t been missing many bats, surrendering four or more hits nine times this season.

First pitch is set for 7:08pm ET on ESPN, so get your radio feed from 670 The Score synched up if you’re watching.
