More details are to be released by the Cubs shortly, like location and exact timing, but according to Bastian’s tweet is could be unveiled as early as 2022.
The Cubs retired Jenkins number 31 in 2009. Jenkins played ten seasons with the Cubs and was a four-time All Star, 1971 Cy Young award winner and holds a career 3.34 ERA. This is a pretty cool honor for a guy that more than deserves it.
