The fourth inning started with Anthony Rizzo getting buzzed near the head with a fastball, warnings issued, and David Ross being ejected for the first time as a manager. That seemed to light a spark within the Cubs dugout, and David Bote provided the big blow in the inning. Bote launching a 449-foot bomb to pull the Cubs within a run in the second game of the doubleheader.
