Best of Chicago Cubs Social Media: Week of April 13

In case you’re keeping track, it’s been 39 days since the Cubs played their last spring training game. While nothing can replace the feeling of watching them sprint from the dugout to roars from the packed Wrigley Field crowd, we can at least continue to fill the void by following them on social media. After all, the team has to endure this just like the rest of us have to.

Mike Bryant’s Quarantine Cubs Song

Kris Bryant‘s dad and new grandfather Mike shared a video serenading Cubs fans with his version of Wagon Wheel. He calls it “Shock Me: Pandemic Lament 2020.”

Ian Happ – Twitch Streamer

While real baseball has been gone, MLB started a league for players on MLB The Show. Ian Happ is representing the Cubs and has posted a 6-2 record so far.

David Ross Goes ALL IN

As part of the ALL IN Challenge, Cubs manager David Ross offered fans the chance to win a unique Wrigley Field experience.

Adbert the Builder

Pitcher Adbert Alzolay is not letting a quarantine get in the way of his workouts. He built a pitching mound so he could throw bullpens without leaving the house. Check out his Twitter (@adbert29) for more pictures.

That’s all for now, but keep following Cubs Insider on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for daily content, then check back here every Sunday for more.
