Wait, Did Guns N’ Roses Just Announce a Wrigley Field Tour Date?

I first thought I was using my illusion when I saw the updated schedule for Guns N’ Roses, but it appears as though they are coming to Wrigley Field this summer as part of a massive summer stadium tour. According to the new dates announced Sunday, GNR will play the Friendly Confines on Sunday, July 26. Fans won’t need to exercise much patience, either, because the Nightrain presale starts Tuesday, February 4 at 10am ET.

A word of caution, though, as the Cubs have not officially announced the date and the Ticketmaster link to presale information is broken. For the sake of comparison, the link to their August 21 show at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis works just fine. And for further comparison, the link to their July 21 performance at Fenway Park — which runs through MLB.com, just like the Wrigley show — also works.

Keep a close eye on this to see if additional news comes out. You might also want to join the Nightrain in order to access the presale tickets, since general availability opens three days later. We’ll keep you updated here to the best of our ability.

Update: The Cubs do have the GNR concert listed on their website and the Ticketmaster link does redirect to Cubs.com. An email from the Cubs confirms the concert as well. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 7 at noon CT, but season ticket holders will apparently have access to a Thursday presale.
