Watch: Theo Epstein Talks About Decision to Let Joe Maddon Go
We just learned that Joe Maddon will not be returning as the manager of the Chicago Cubs. What feels like a necessary move also feels somewhat sad. It’s been a great run and hopefully this leads the Cubs back to the postseason and another shot at a World Series title.
Theo Epstein and Joe Maddon met Saturday night in St. Louis to discuss Maddon’s tenure and reflect on his accomplishments. Both Epstein and Maddon just finished meeting with the press to announce that they have jointly decided to move on. Here’s video of Epstein discussing that meeting.
