Watch: Highlights from Darvish’s First Rehab Start
Yu Darvish struck out five over five innings and rated his rehab start in South Bend a “12 out of 10.” He touched 94 with the fastball and had the curveball working in his first live action since going on the DL with right triceps inflammation.
His nasty stuff is particularly evident at the :20 mark. Darvish did allow a homer in this one, but that’s not really much of a concern when you’re talking about a start that was more about getting back into a groove than anything.
