Watch: Albert Almora Featured on MLB Network as Part of Young Stars Week
By now we all know how stacked the Cubs are with ripe, young talent, an embarrassment of riches if you will. Well, it’s beginning to look more and more like 23 year-old Albert Almora may be the next big star to emerge from the Cubs stellar farm system.
Almora currently leads the team in batting average and is slashing a stout .391/.440/.609 for the year. He flexed his muscles in Spring Training walloping four home runs. His first long-ball of the regular season came yesterday in the Cubs’ comeback win against the Brewers. Oh, and let’s not forget that he was an instrumental piece in the Cubs’ 2016 world championship run.
So, it’s no surprise that MLB Network decided to feature him as part of their Young Stars Week. Check it out.
