Most people know Javy Baez as a flashy, fun player who dazzles with his glove. From the World Series to the World Baseball Classic, Baez has made a name for himself as an elite baseball player.
What many people don’t know is the story behind the man. Javy’s sister, Noely, passed away on April 8, 2015 from complications related to spina bifida. Her dream was for Javy to make it to the pros. Of course, that dream has been accomplished and much, much more.
MLB Network ran the following segment on Javy, his sister and what made his ring bearer, Grace Davis, so special.
An extraordinary moment for Grace Davis and @javy23baez.
