Chicago Cubs Starting Lineup: Cubs Go For 9th Straight, Baez at 3rd, Heyward in Center Field

To say the Cubs have started hot this season would be a slight understatement. Any time the words ‘best ever’ are used to describe a start you know you’re witnessing something special. The Cubs will go for their 9th straight win in the first game of the doubleheader today. The will entrust the start to Kyle Hendricks, who we featured yesterday in a great story on Cubs starting pitching. He’s having a great year so far and will look to get some run support today.

Javier Baez is back at third for the Cubs with Jorge Soler in left field. Jorge gets another shot today to break out for the Cubs…

Kris Bryant will play right field and Jason Heyward bumps over to center field in place of Dexter Fowler. Pretty nice luxury to have Fowler coming off the bench, huh?

Here’s the Cubs lineup for today’s first game:

1. Ben Zobrist (S) 2B
2. Jason Heyward (L) CF
3. Kris Bryant (R) RF
