Chicago Cubs Lineup: Hammel Time, Soler in Left Field – TV/Game Info

The Chicago Cubs take on the Washington Nationals today at 3:05 PM CDT. The game will be televised on CSN Chicago and Fox Sports 1, and will feature Jason Hammel, 4-0 and 1.24 ERA, against Gio Gonzalez, 2-1 and 1.15 ERA. Both pitchers are off to great starts this year and with the wind currently blowing in off the lake we could be in for quite an interesting pitchers duel.

Jorge Soler is back in left field today. He’s been struggling on offense all season but Joe Maddon believes he’s going to break out soon. As long as he believes in Jorge we’ll continue to see him get at least spot starts. At some point Jorge is going to need to start hitting if he wants to ever be considered a regular starter. Hopefully today is the day for him to break out.
