Pregame: Cubs @ Dbacks, Lineup – 8:40 CDT

The big news today has been the injury to Kyle Schwarber. Now that we know he will be out for a prolonged period we can start to talk about what the options are without him. What we do know is that Munenori Kawasaki is on his way to Arizona to report to the big league club. He will, at least for now, fill the open roster spot left by Schwarber going on the DL.

It’s been a crazy day today and I can only imagine what it’s been like for the players. Tonight is going to be an emotional night for the Cubs, there’s no doubt about that. We will find out the result soon but I expect they will come out firing.
