Seiya Suzuki Named NL Player of the Week
In case you haven’t been paying attention to start the season, Seiya Suzuki has been on quite a tear as he adjusts to MLB pitching. That is to say, if he’s still adjusting then MLB pitchers may actually be the ones that will need to adjust to him.
Through his first nine MLB games, Suzuki is slashing .400/.543/.960 with 7 R, 11 RBI, 4 HR, and a 25.7% BB%. He’s already worth 0.9 fWAR. These numbers are really incredible and just think, what if he’s actually going to get better as the season progresses?
I know that seems a little wacky, but it’s definitely going to be interesting to watch this play out. Dude may end up in the running for NL MVP if he stays anywhere near this level for the rest of the season.
Seiya Suzuki and @MrLapara have been unstoppable to start the year.
