Chicago Cubs Lineup (8/31/21): Davies on Hill, Ortega Leading Off, Rivas at First
The Cubs take the field tonight in Minnesota with a lineup that is beginning to be all-too-familiar. But, hey, at least they’re not 20 games under .500…yet.
Rafael Ortega leads off playing center, followed by Frank Schwindel at DH, Ian Happ in left, Patrick Wisdom at third, Matt Duffy at second, and Jason Heyward in right. Alfonso Rivas gets his second straight start playing first and batting seventh, followed by Robinson Chirinos catching, and Andrew Romine playing short.
Zach Davies will be on the hill tonight looking for his seventh win on the season behind a career-high 5.00 ERA. Davies hasn’t registered a win since July 23, so perhaps he’s due.
