Chicago Cubs Lineup (5/28/21): Alzolay on Hill, Bryant at 1B, Happ in Center as Cubs Take on Reds at Wrigley
The Chicago Cubs (27-22) are on a roll as they head back home to Wrigley Field for a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds (22-26).
Joc Pederson is leading off and playing left, Kris Bryant is next playing first in place of Anthony Rizzo, followed by Javier Baez at short. Ian Happ is in center, Willson Contreras catching, Rafael Ortega is starting his third straight game in right for the injured Jason Heyward and he is batting sixth today. David Bote is hitting seventh playing third and Eric Sogard bats eighth playing second.
Adbert Alzolay takes the mound for the Cubs today. Alzolay has been effective thus far but he’s yet to have a completely dominant outing for the Cubs thus far. He’s given up at least two runs in every outing and no more than four. I’d say today is a good time for that first shut-down performance from him.
First pitch from Wrigley Field is set for 1:20pm CT on Marquee and 670 The Score. If you’re in-market and looking to get the game via streaming service, check out a free preview of fuboTV.
