Kris Bryant has a 6.6 fWAR which is just .03 short of Mike Trout……in his second year as a pro. In the second half of the season so far he’s slashing .336/.414/.545 with 6 home runs and a 157 wRC+. He is certainly going to get MVP consideration and may win it out right if he keeps hitting home runs 469 feet. Now, of course, home runs that far are usually reserved for Coors Field, but Kris’ home run last night was a bomb, even for the generous Coors Field. Take a look and judge for yourself.
If you enjoyed that as much as I did, you may want to watch it on a continuous loop via the Chicago Cubs’ Twitter account.
