Cubs Clips: WATCH Aroldis Chapman Throw Fire at the Angels and Strike Out the Side
When the Cubs traded for Aroldis Chapman there were plenty of questions from the pundits about whether they had over paid. They traded away, arguably, their top prospect in Gleyber Torres along with a big league pitcher and two other pretty good prospects.
Since his first appearance in a Cubs uniform, when he rained down on the Chicago White Sox, the Cubs have gone 12-1. You can’t argue the impact this trade has made on the clubhouse, you can feel the difference in the energy the Cubs are playing with ever since Chapman joined the team. It’s palpable.
And last night at Wrigley Field that energy was on full display. Everyone was standing on their feet, giddy like a bunch of little kids standing around an ice cream truck, just waiting for what comes next. And Chapman didn’t disappoint. He struck on the side, all swinging at pitches over 103 MPH! Watch, enjoy, revel.
