Fowler will not be traveling with the team to Pittsburgh for the upcoming series against the Pirates, mainly because he will be playing with South Bend.
It was also reported that it’s possible Fowler could play in the all-star game if all goes well. While that may sound a little strange – why not wait and rest to get healthy for the second half – the only chance Dexter actually plays is if he’s 100% healthy and there’s no risk of further injury.
So, rest assured, the Cubs will have a perfectly healthy Dexter Fowler to begin the second half of the season.
